In May 2014, Atenor Group s.a. along with PI Group s.a. (Luxembourg-based investors) acquired from ING Luxembourg the company that owns the “Cloche d’Or ” building , the former headquarters of ING Luxembourg.
A thorough renovation
At the time of the acquisition, the property, built in 1992 on a 6,772 m² site, had 6,500 m² of offices and four underground parking levels.
After major renovation and extension, the building will offer more than 10,000 m² of offices benefiting from the latest technological advances and BREEAM environmental certification. The building permit was obtained in June 2014 and works started in August of the same year.
At the heart of the administrative district
In parallel with this acquisition, BDO Luxembourg, one of the largest firms of chartered accountants, auditors and advisors in Luxembourg, has already signed a 12-year lease for the entire building.
In October 2014, an agreement was reached for the sale of shares its Air Properties s.a.,owner of the project. The purchasers are institutional investors of Belgium and Luxembourg regrouping ETHIAS, Le Foyer and L’Intégrale.
Works were completed and delivery to BDO took place on 31 March 2016.
The complete architectural project was entrusted to the Bureau Beiler + François in Luxembourg.
The AIR project is ideally located on the corner of Route d'Esch and the rue Jean Piret, in the heart of the Cloche d'Or administrative district in Luxembourg and has a direct motorway access to the airport, to France, Belgium and Germany.
